Frequently Asked Questions
What is live-in care?
Carers live in the client's home to provide assistance on
daily basis.
What duties will a live-in carer do?
Carers/companions' duties can range from simple
companionship and light housework through to different levels of
personal care, as well as assisting with or undertaking shopping and
cooking. If you have specific needs please contact us.
How long will the carer live in for?
This depends on the client's needs; it maybe that the
client only needs assistance for a few days or weeks. For indefinite
placements we advise a rota system where the carers will stay for a
period of two weeks at a time.
How much will it cost?
This will depend on the level of care required. Full
details of rates are included in our information pack which we will
be happy to send you.
How do you find the right carer?
We match the carer's skills and experience to the required
needs of the client before we introduce any carer.
What
carers do you have?
We have a wide variety of carers on our books, all with
different levels of training, skills and experience. They have all been
personally vetted and have completed a Criminal Record Bureau check.
What areas do you cover?
We can assist you throughout the UK and Channel Isles.
When I have a
change in carer how will the next
carer know what to do?
The outgoing
carer will do a full hand-over to the new carer to ensure that they
know the routine and duties required. This will be done as smoothly
as possible to enable continuity and reassurance to the client.
Can I meet and
interview the carer before they start?
This is not
always possible due to the fact some carers will be on another
assignment. However they will be happy to telephone you and
introduce themselves so you can ask any questions you may have.
What if I don't
like the carer?
If there is a
personality clash then we will do our best to find a suitable
replacement as soon as possible.
