About Our Services
Our principle objective is to enable older people, people with
dementia, adults with physical disabilities and adults who are
recovering from illness to be cared for at home for as long as
possible; an alternative often preferable to either living with
relatives or moving into a residential home. This enables our
clients to retain their independence in their own homes and
surroundings.
We realise it can be very difficult
acknowledging and accepting when help is going to be required,
especially when a person has always been independent. The carers we
introduce are not there to 'take over' but to give assistance with
daily tasks that the client cannot manage on their own.
We do not employ carers, but act as an
introductory agency matching the right carer to the right client,
depending on the client's needs and geographical location.
How it Works
Carers are usually matched to a client for two weeks at a time,
having had the opportunity to speak to each other before the
assignment begins. On completion of the assignment the carer will
hand over personally to the next selected carer, so giving
continuity of care when needed.
Carers normally work every day of the
assignment, so therefore must have some time off every day. This will
be organised by arrangement with the client. On longer bookings a
day off will probably be needed. The client and carer usually
discuss this and arrange something mutually acceptable.
If a client requires some assistance
at night, they can be reassured in the knowledge that someone is
never far away to help them.
As a Care Management provider, we know
how important high standards are to our clients, so we actively seek
feedback from clients and carers alike to enable us to maintain high
standards of service.
Why Choose Help at Hand Care
Service?
We
recruit and select top quality carers
...saving you the time and expense of advertising and interviewing.
We
obtain at least two references (one from the most recent employer)
and CRB / POVA enhanced disclosure checks
...which alleviates you from the stress and worry in finding the
right person.
All
our carers are self-employed and responsible for their own tax and
National Insurance
...so you do not have to become involved with P.A.Y.E. or holiday
and sickness pay.
We
have a comprehensive database of carers with skills and experience
to match our clients' needs
...because everyone has different needs, we introduce the carer most
suitable to each client.
We
have twenty years' experience of the Caring industry
...which enables us to choose the carer to suit the client.
We
offer a nationwide service from our office near Stratford-upon-Avon
and we have a 24 hour answering service
...which means we are always available should our clients wish to
telephone us with any queries or problems, or maybe for some advice.
We
can cover Christmas and Bank Holidays
...so clients' families can depend on us to cover for these periods.
You
could save money
...because people who have 24 hour live-in care can be exempt from
paying Council Tax.
Carers' fees and agency fees are charged on a nightly basis
...therefore you are not paying twice on changeover days, as happens
with some agencies.
No
charge for a personal assessment
...which is not always the case with other agencies.
